FANTAIL is rated 4.474074074074074 out of 5 by 135.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please listen I have had three pairs of this style and the comolding nose part has separated all three times. Each pair has lasted less than one year before coming apart. I send them back, pay the $12 repair charge and hope for the best. I requested a different style last time, but received Fantail again. I will ask for another style again. It is ridiculous to send back a $200 pair of glasses every year. Not recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and durable I bought these a couple days ago with a friend, and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I got the fintail and my friend got the aviator line. Both are extremely comfortable and look great on. I do a lot of kayaking and fishing and was looking for a pair of sunglasses with great polarized lens and and a snug fit so the glasses won't fall off on rapid river's. Cheers to a great pair of glasses!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product Defect w Co-Molding First, let me say i will never buy any other brand of sunglasses after having owned several pairs of Costas. They are simply the best. With that said, i write this review in the hope that CDM will take note that there is a problem with the adhesive or whatever method they use for the co-molding process. In full disclosure, i have owned these for 4 years and this is the first time that it has become separated. However, many reviews seem to indicate this is a problem. i especially concur with doctorsus review.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok I bought these shades in Feb. right before summer to be ready... Ordered online, said I would have them in 3 days, got them almost a week and a half later. I was refunded shipping but still disappointed in the wait, didn't make it in time to be a present on the big day. For almost $300 you'd expect them to be flawless, but the frames of mine don't look painted all that great. In the nose frame a piece of my plastic is splintered... Overall great durable shades, honestly haven't decided if I'll buy any other pair

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Sunglasses I've ever owned The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because the frames have stretched. The ear pieces fit perfectly for about 6 months, then they got loose. I got to the point that I had to wear my tether all the time so they wouldn't fall to the ground when I bend over. I am sending them in to have them fixed. With that being said, I would recommend getting the glass lenses. I have been rough on these and they don't scratch easy. I had polycorbonate before these and they scratched all over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Achilles Heel Let me start by saying the 580g lenses are great and the glasses are comfortable. I do have a large problem with the product though. The rubber on the glasses is the Achilles heel of the product. I sent my glasses back for repair after one year of ownership and they sent me new frames. Less than a year later my glasses are doing the same thing. I do not feel that I should have to pay them to look at my glasses and I don't feel as if i should have to pay for shipping either. These glasses are expensive. I paid up front for a good product and do not feel like I should have to pay for them yearly and be without them for a month at a time. I would greatly advise you to steer clear of these glasses.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubber surround delaminated again This is my 4th pair of the fantail. These are great looking glasses with excellent glass. However, I have spent $48 in repair costs and around $50 in shipping to have my glasses fixed due to the rubber gasket delaminating from the frame. They are unusable after delamination. My total cost of ownership for these frames is around $350. They aren't worth $350. I have noticed many reviews with the same feeback and yet Costa continues to ship the frames and repair the frames without offering a replacement. In practice, these should be tough, fishing-proof, outdoor friendly shades. In reality, they just aren't. Try a different our. I have many costas and they are great glasses. I expect more from this brand.
