SERVICE: COSTA'S LIMITED WARRANTIES

Terms

If your Costa eyewear has a defect in materials or workmanship, we will fix or replace them to get you back on the water as soon as we can. For warranty claims received by Costa on or before 04/01/2020, a processing fee (which covers return shipping and handling), plus applicable tax, is charged for each warranty claim processed. Warranty claims submitted after 04/01/2020 are not subject to a processing fee.

All the Costa’s Limited Warranties below are applicable only to USA, Canada and US Special Territories. If you purchase outside these countries please refer to http://www.luxottica.com/en/customer-care

Costa's Sunglass* Limited Lifetime Warranty

We warrant Costa sunglasses* against defects in materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product.

Costa will repair or replace (with an identical or reasonably equivalent style), at our option, any product determined by Costa to have a manufacturer's defect. For additional limited warranty information, please chat with us https://www.luxotticacustomercare.com/aftersalescostachat.

Costa's Sunglass* Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, scratched lenses, broken hinges, accidental damage, misuse or any other problems determined by Costa not to be defects in materials or workmanship ("Out of Warranty Damage").

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS:

*Certain Costa sunglasses (including Prescription, Limited Edition and Special Collection) have differing warranty durations and limitations. We warrant Costa Limited Edition and Special Collection sunglasses against defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase.

Costa's Prescription (Rx) Sunglass Limited Warranty

We warrant Costa Prescription (Rx) sunglass lenses and frames against defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase. Costa will repair or replace (with an identical or reasonably equivalent style), at our option, any prescription sunglass lenses and frames determined by Costa to have a manufacturer's defect.

We warrant Costa Prescription (Rx) sunglass lenses against scratches for one year from the date of purchase. Costa will replace scratched lenses one time and in the identical form (material, color, coatings and prescription) as originally purchased.

Costa Rx sunglass lenses and frames must be returned to your Eye Care Practitioner for limited warranty service.

Proof of purchase is required. You are responsible for any cost of shipment to your Eye Care Practitioner. Costa's Prescription (Rx) Sunglass Limited Warranty does not cover third-party lenses, normal wear and tear, broken hinges, scratched lenses (after one year from date of purchase), accidental damage, misuse or any other problems determined by Costa not to be defects in materials or workmanship ("Out of Warranty Damage").

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Costa Optical's Eyeglass Frame Limited Two-Year Warranty

We warrant Costa Optical eyeglass frames against defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase. Costa Optical eyeglass frames must be returned to your Eye Care Practitioner for limited warranty service.

Costa Optical will replace (with an identical or reasonably equivalent style), at our option, any eyeglass frame determined by Costa Optical to have a manufacturer's defect. Proof of purchase is required. You are responsible for any cost of shipment to your Eye Care Practitioner. Costa Optical's Eyeglass Frame Limited Two-Year Warranty does not cover lenses supplied by your Eye Care Practitioner, normal wear and tear, broken hinges, accidental damage, misuse or any other problems determined by Costa not to be defects in materials or workmanship ("Out of Warranty Damage").

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

If you want to submit a Service Request in our Aftersales Portal please follow this link, for USA, Canada and US Special Territories.

Upon the receipt of the service request, Costa will assess within the next 5 business days if your product is covered by one of Costa’s Limited Warranties.

Please note we do not manage defects related to prescription sunglasses lenses and frame or Optical Eyeglass frames on this portal. Costa RX Sunglasses lenses and frames and Costa Optical Eyeglass frames must be returned to your Eyecare Practitioner for Limited warranty service.

Make a claim

REPAIRS

If your product needs a repair, you may submit a service request in our Aftersales Portal by following this link. Please note if you live outside the USA and Canada and want to submit a Service Request please refer to http://www.luxottica.com/en/customer-care.

Upon the receipt of the service request, Costa will assess within the next 5 business days.

Repair service is based on component parts availability (at the moment only lenses and nose pads are available for Costa models inside US and Canada market) and assessment of the product. If it’s not possible to proceed with the repair, we can always offer you a frame replacement (with an identical or reasonably equivalent style) or a coupon to be redeemed on costadelmar.com.

Repair pricing may vary by product. Due to variations in pricing, if your product is not covered by one of Costa’s Limited Warranties, you will receive an offer via email including details on the costs to perform a repair service (component part cost plus applicable tax fee and $18 processing fee which include shipping and handling) or to provide the frame replacement (30% off current retail price). You will not be required to ship your sunglasses prior to receiving the offer.

Please note we do not manage defects related to prescription sunglasses lenses and frame or Optical Eyeglass frames on this portal. Costa RX Sunglasses lenses and frames and Costa Optical Eyeglass frames must be returned to your Eyecare Practitioner for Limited warranty service.

Please note that we currently have replacement lenses and nose pads available for Costa models inside US and Canada market.
